Homes of Hope

A place for their dreams

Welcome to Homes of Hope

While in Nepal, the team realized that the situation is ever changing and from half-way around the world, there is only so much that we can do.  While our original goal was to build 1,000 houses, there was a part of us that hoped that we would physically build each of these houses.  This is untimely in helping the people who need it most.  It is apparent to us that we can do so much more good in providing the help, resources, and guidance in working with Nepali-led organizations already on the ground.  This doesn’t mean that we don’t plan on getting our hands dirty and laying as many bricks as we can.  But now that we have been to Nepal, assessed the progress, and have made the connections, we can truly start helping the rebuild Nepal.

Our Homes of Hope

Three Sisters Project

We provide a home for Three Sisters aged 14, 16 and 18, who are living together and working to support themselves.

Homes of Hope is assisting Three Sisters aged 14, 16, and 18, who are living together and working to support themselves. Their father died when they were young and mother left them because her mother did have a son. Now, they are surviving without any major support and live in a temporary shelter. The Asha project heard about their story and helped them build a new house and also helped the three sisters go to school as well as provided them with several goats.  Your support is greatly appreciated for these three sisters.

Rotary Village of Berumchuli

We aim to build a community center in this village.

Rotary Club of Dhulikhel

We are assisting in the construction of  homes which cost approximately $3,000 each near the hardest hit part of the country, Sindhupalchowk.

After completing our home, the Asha Project goats we received has been helping us to sustain our lively hood.  We sold two male goats during the Dashai Festival and earned $200 to celebrate our dashai Festival.

Thank you Asha Project
